WHAT YOU ACTUALLY LEARN

The recordings are how it’s delivered. The skills are what you keep.

Relaxation Breathing

A simple pattern — in for four, out for eight — that becomes the foundation of everything else.

Slow Wave Breathing

Breathing with the waves of labour, introduced and rehearsed long before the day.

Birth Breathing

A specific technique for the birth itself.

This isn’t a collection of relaxing audio tracks. It teaches a set of practical self-hypnosis, breathing and preparation skills — and they’re straightforward to learn. Each recording takes you through one step at a time, in order; you simply follow the programme at your own pace.

No experience needed, and by the time labour begins the skills are already familiar and yours to use.

LEARN

PRACTISE

——

USE IT WHEN IT MATTERS

Deep relaxation & self-hypnosis

Deliberately entering a profoundly relaxed state yourself — not passively listening to someone else’s relaxation track.

Deepening

Techniques to take that state further, and to return to it more quickly each time.

Your Safe Place

A personal, multi-sensory place you build in your imagination and can return to whenever you need it.

Sensation Lessening

Changing your experience of sensation through imagination and self-hypnosis.

Birth Rehearsal

Mentally rehearsing the day — the breathing, your partner’s role, and responding calmly if plans change.

The companion guide adds the practical preparation around them: positions and movement, creating your birth environment, the birth conversation with your partner, BRAIN for decisions on the day, and your birth preferences.

Your birth partner has a real role throughout — supported to help without taking over.

Eight recordings and a comprehensive companion guide

NEW MUM · A REALLY POSITIVE BIRTH EXPERIENCE

“throughout my pregnancy the tracks really helped with my relaxation, visualisation, and getting the much-needed rest”

J and I wanted to let you know that on the 22nd September we welcomed our little boy into the world, weighing 7lbs 15oz. The labour was great and I progressed with my dilation very rapidly, which hypnobirthing played a huge part in. I used gas and air in the pool for the majority, then after pushing for 3.5 hours had to have some assistance with forceps and an episiotomy — but all without pain relief, which again hypnobirthing contributed to. I never got round to listening to track 4, and so I’ll never know how much that could’ve helped, but throughout my pregnancy the tracks really helped with my relaxation, visualisation, and getting the much-needed rest.

LEO’S MUM · FORCEPS-ASSISTED BIRTH

“able to experience a blissful birth, dealing with the changes to my birthing plan with a calm and focused mind”

Just wanted to say a huge thank you. I purchased your hypnobirthing CD package in October 2012 to prepare for the birth of my baby, who arrived on 18th January 2013. Leo was born by forceps-assisted delivery and weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces. Using your hypnobirthing technique and a TENS machine, I required no further pain relief and was able to experience a blissful birth, dealing with the changes to my birthing plan with a calm and focused mind — and then dealing with the surgery I required to repair a 3rd degree tear, and now dealing with the sleep deprivation calmly too! I didn’t end up using CD 4 during the labour itself, as I could already ‘hear’ your calm voice in my head from having used CDs 2 & 3 regularly. I shall certainly be recommending hypnobirthing to others.

SECOND-TIME MUM · CALM AND IN CONTROL THROUGHOUT

“It was such a different experience to the first time. I was very calm and in control.”

Thought you’d like to know that we had a baby boy yesterday at 16:51. His name is M, he weighed 7lbs 4oz, and he is perfect. I really wanted to thank you as everything went really well. I went into labour late Friday night and went into hospital Saturday morning and was 6cm. The music and breathing helped enormously. It was such a different experience to the first time. I was very calm and in control. It certainly wasn’t pain free but it was manageable. The midwife was very impressed with how in control I was, and that is down to your help.

MUM WHOSE BIRTH INCLUDED AN EMERGENCY C-SECTION

“I had a great first stage and was able to make difficult decisions calmly”

Thank you so much for your help and replying so quickly. The affirmations helped me through the anxiety. My baby was born on 4 October but the birth was far from straightforward. During the first stage I used your hypnobirthing techniques and got to fully dilated using gas and air and a TENS machine — I was able to talk throughout, and the midwives were amazed at how in control and relaxed I was, even during contractions. Unfortunately I had to have an emergency c-section because my baby was back to back and very large. Even though I didn’t get to birth my baby the way I wanted, I had a great first stage and was able to make difficult decisions calmly, thanks to the hypnotherapy CDs I’d listened to every day. I have already recommended your course to a friend.

QUESTIONS WOMEN ASK

The practical things worth knowing

What if I fall asleep during a session?

Completely normal, and it doesn’t reduce the benefit — your subconscious keeps absorbing the suggestions even if you drift off.

Do I need headphones for every session?

Not for Sessions 1–4, Birthing Music, or the Bonus Birth Affirmations track. Sessions 5 and 6 are the exception — headphones so your birth partner and medical team can stay alert and communicate with you.

What if I miss a day of practice?

No problem. Pick back up where you left off.

Can my birth partner listen too?

Yes — genuinely encouraged, for Sessions 1-3.

What if I don’t feel like I’m “in hypnosis”?

It’s a natural state of relaxed concentration. If you feel calm and relaxed, you’re doing it right.

Can I still use this if it’s not my first pregnancy?

Yes — it works for both first-time and experienced mothers.

What if my labour doesn’t go the way I’ve planned, or I need medical intervention?

The techniques remain useful whatever happens, and your birth partner’s advocate role supports any path

Can I use the recordings after the birth too?

Yes. Session 1 is often reused for breastfeeding and settling in.

What if my baby arrives early, before I’ve finished the programme?

Even starting late still helps — Sessions 5 and 6 alone still provide real benefit.

Why doesn’t this include binaural beats?

Binaural beats need stereo headphones to work. Since Birthing Music is designed for speaker use too, 396Hz solfeggio is used instead, which works either way.
